I got back from a meeting in Leamington and it was daylight! So I got changed and out as fast as I could. Decided on a longer run but wanted to keep it as flat as possible.
After a bit of a detour I ended up on the Luton Airport path. Flattish and a good 5 miles long.
I was steady and focusing on form. No toe-ing off and limiting the pressure on the calves by keeping the cadence high and the strides short-ish.
I'm feeling good, no issues in the calves and full of energy. A week off has had a very restoring effect.
