I had a physio session this morning in St Albans. I was fearful that I'd be told 4-6 weeks off etc which would mean no marathon.
So after the form filling Colin the physio took a look at the damage. The diagnosis was as positive as it could be. I had micro tears to the calf muscle. No bruising and as I'd been doing my RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) I'd minimised the swelling and accelerated the healing.
The view was I'd be running in a week. Just carry on the regime. No running till Sunday but get out on the bike and swim if I like.
